Hi there, friend!
I have been through the wringer with autoimmune issues for about 10 years now and I’m here to share with you what I know, what I’ve gone through and how I get through it. The hassle, pain, confusion, urgent care, and E.R visits have pushed me to do enough research that I should be awarded an honorary Ph.D. (at the very least lol). The purpose of this blog, at heart, is to share the devastatingly ugly, yet beautiful, struggle that myself and countless others with chronic illness and autoimmune disorders go through.
If you found this, it possibly means you were looking for information on how to connect with someone you love who suffers from these types of issues or, you were looking for a friendly voice to commiserate with. Either way, I’d love to share with you the knowledge I’ve gained over these years, my successes (and failures) so you can learn from them too. Feel free to share any comments or lessons you have with me! In turn, I’ll share everything I’ve got so we can continue to move upward and forward.
Let’s grow together.
If you want to know where to start, you can read the introduction to my story. Also note that I talk about financial health (because you have to keep your money up, especially when you have health issues), and mental health. Something people seldom recognize is that having any chronic illness can be isolating and depressing. It’s so easy to fall into the trap of hating yourself.
P.S. In case you are curious, here are 5 fun facts about me!
- don’t get brain freeze, ever (lucky, I know!)
- sing Opera as a hobby ( I LOVE it)
- like taking pictures of my feet (even though I don’t think they are necessarily pretty)
- consider myself an amateur photography
- LOVE DIY projects and some of my favorite home decor I’ve made myself! (and it was super cheap!)
In case you need to hear it: we may never meet, but I already love you with everything I am, and everything I’ll ever be.
